Shadows

Shadows of yesterdays tease
Imitating the foolish and naive
and say "that was once, you and me.
We've moved to another land"
And, try to pull me by my hand

I relieve myself and chuckle at the shadow's stupidity

Surrounded by feet that run
and have forgotten to walk
I whisper:
"A mirage you're trying to stalk"

But they persist....
