Nigel Bhai

Last night I couldn’t sleep. Nigel Bhai, our neighbour is no more.

One might wonder. Why is he called Nigel Bhai?

Nigel is a English name and Bhai usually is a prefix among muslims.

Nigel Bhai was born to a Muslim Father and a Christian mother.
His father was a very close friend of my
Grandfather and they kept in touch through letters for many years.

Nigel Bhai was often seen cycling along with his domestic help, Baabu.
Since Nigel Bhai seldom lived in Hyderabd,
he gifted a small tv set to Baabu and Baabu
would take care of the home and watch Tv.

Baabu  played with all us too when we were younger.
He played very good cricket and Badminton.

Recently Nigel Bhai married a widow. She follows Hinduism and has a little son. Everyone was surprised as the lady was not financially stable either but Nigel Bhai was very happy with her.

A month ago, Nigel Bhai had given me a crate of books.
